Boschenmeer Golf Club
A Premier Golf Destination in the Cape Winelands
Established in 1908, Paarl Golf Club is a historic gem nestled within the picturesque Cape Winelands.
The club relocated to its current site in 1954, and a significant redesign in the late 1990s transformed it into a stunning 27-hole complex within the Boschenmeer Golf Estate.
The course development was spearheaded by professional golfer David Frost, a former pupil at Paarl Boys’ High School, and renowned architect Danie Obermeyer, known for his work at Kingswood in the Garden Route. The result is a beautifully crafted layout that offers a diverse and challenging golfing experience.
The 27 holes are divided into three distinct nines: the "River" nine (holes 1 to 9), the "Paarl" nine (holes 10 to 18), and the "Boschenmeer" nine (holes 19 to 27).
Water hazards are a prominent feature, with several fairways running alongside the Berg River on the River loop and numerous holes on the Paarl circuit incorporating man-made ponds.
The Boschenmeer nine, with its pleasing elevation changes, culminates in a dramatic finish around an enormous lake. The par-five 27th hole doglegs around the water from tee to green, providing a thrilling challenge for golfers.
Experience the charm and challenge of Paarl Golf Club, a must-play destination.
